Ethel joins A World of Wings |
Look out for Ethel, the youngest and newest arrival to join the World of Wings team. Bred in a private collection in the UK, the young Brown Wood Owl was born on May 5th 2010.
Ethel has an inquisitive nature and enjoys investigating her new surroundings at the castle. Although she can’t be stroked yet as her new feathers are still growing under the fluff, Ethel has started to make occasional appearances at the end of each show. Keepers Sarah and Mike say it’s a good way for Ethel to get used to people and hope she'll be ready to fly with the other birds in the show by the end of the summer. |
